Do Robots need Passports?
Given the potential impact of AI such as ChatGPT && Claude is it time to require such AI implementations to apply for passports so that their inputs and content can be tracked and managed as is done with Humans. And if the answer is "yes" then should the passport be issued to the AI itself or to tools/systems/devices hosting or using the AI?
Sophia was the first known robot to have citizenship and an associated passport issued to "her" in 2017 by the Saudi Arabia government. See this article on the passort issuance and related questions.

Please add comments on the question above and any related matters or topics. The issuance of passports as a general approach would generate a lot of concerns and questions e.g. does the passport belong to the economic owner of the robot as "parent" and should they be taking ownership of the activities of the Robot/AI?
